A few favorites of mine

Being an avid StumbleUpon user, I find all sort of nifty websites. Now, after over 31,000 unique stumbles I bring to you some of my favorite websites of 2009.

  • Macheist: A pretty sweet website for Mac users that routinely gives away free Mac software in exchange for tweeting about their site.
  • Tumblr: Tumblr has made blogging even easier than before. There is no real need for fancy html; just pick your url, pick your theme, and you’re all set to take the blogging world by storm!
  • MLIA: FML got you feeling a little down? MLIG a little too happy for you? Why not check out the not so average lives of others!
  • The Escapist Magazine: My first ever blog post was a link to this site. If you need the latest in video game news and other geek guides head over to The Escapist. Watch some videos, chat it up in the forums or just read a few articles. There’s lots to do at The Escapist Magazine.

Last night I had the strangest dream

Last night I had the strangest dream

of things forgotten and old.

Ancient conflicts from before

volatilize my very soul.

I heard the familiars and I saw the unique

out in the dark, near the fountain they speak.

I ran away before they spied me

and awoke here safe today.

Soggy Oranges

Soggy oranges are probably one of the worst orange related things you can experience (not counting chocolate oranges of course). Here’s how it usually goes down:

  1. You find a delicious looking orange at the store/in a fruit bowl/ under your bed.
  2. You peel said orange, taking time to carefully get rid of all the white stringy bits.
  3. You tenderly separate the slices, building up the anticipation to the amazing piece of fruit you’re about to indulge yourself in.
  4. You bite in, only to recoil in horror at the terrible taste in your mouth which can only be described as chewing on a dry erase marker.

You can never tell when a soggy orange will strike! Warn your family, friends, and various pets.
